President of the EFR

"The EFR - European Federation for coloRectal cancer - is dedicated to ensuring high-quality conferences by advocating science, prevention and management of cancer of the colon and rectum. This conference will be held in cooperation with ECTA – Eurasian Colorectal Technologies Association. The cooperation with these organisations will enlarge the spectrum, not only of cancer related topics, but will also cover precancerous lesions and inflammatory bowel disease. The conference will also include „the 3rd International Sexual Day“ dealing with topics of quality of life, especially sexual function after multimodal treatment of colon diseases. We expect speakers and participants from all over the world.

The 11th international conference of the EFR will focus on guidelines especially in the optimal sequence of radio-chemotherapy and surgery in rectal cancer. The take home messages are intended to be on direct use for healthcare providers in their special field, but will also give the best information for our patients.

Yours sincerely,
Béla Teleky
